Claire started making more different faces.
表情が豊かになってきました。
Auntie Yurika bought this bear hat for Claire.
ゆり（かおば）ちゃんがクマさんの帽子を買ってくれました。
Yurika went back to Japan in the middle of this month...
All of us (especially Mitzi) miss her a lot!!!
ついにゆりちゃんが日本へ帰ってしまい、寂しくなりました。特にミッツイーが。。。

ドッグパークで他の犬たちとお見知りおきになるミツプ。
Even in small dogs' section, Mitzi looks so small...Other dogs sniffing her to make sure it's not a rat.

It got really windy this month

So we purchased this jacket to keep her warm

Finally...Claire rolled over!!
ついに…寝返り！できるようになりました。

何が起こったのかわからない状態。。。

ひとりでくるんっできるよ！！
I don't know if this happens to other kids, but when Claire sleeps on her tummy, she wakes up with her eyes all puffy...like this!
クレアだけかもしれないけど、うつ伏せで寝てしまった日は、寝起き、目が腫れてしまうのです。

Claire moved onto high chair (a gift from her auntie and uncle) to start eating solids...
離乳食を食べ始めるため、ハイチェアーにすわるようになりました。

To fix her flat head, we got a few new toys to keep her upright.
後頭部が扁平といわれ、できるだけ、頭を起こした状態で遊べるおもちゃを少し買い足しました。

She got lots of grooming...pretty much every other day. We felt like we can always make it better.
２日に一回くらいのペースで散髪。

June
I guess the biggest thing for this month was Claire started showing real smiles!!

朝、クレアのお部屋におむかえに行くと、こんな笑顔で喜んでくれます。
Claire sent off Daddy to Ecuador wearing a bracelet Steph made for the team, and she made a tiny one for Claire as well!
そしえ、ステファニーがクレアにも作ってくれた小さなブレスレットをつけ、ダディがエクアドルに行くのを見送りました。

Can't believe I'm writing about June now....but here's some things happened in June

Met more people
さらに新しい出会い
Became able to soothe herself
なんと自分で自分をなだめられるように! （笑）
Became able to sit by herself
そして自分で座れるように!!（笑）
Worked hard on tummy time
腹ばい運動もがんばりました。

Meeting celebrity...Cesar Milan, the Dog Whisperer!!
I heard about him first from Lisa and started watching his show when we got Mitzi. He is amazing with dogs. We've learned from him how to treat Mitzi NOT as "a human with fur and 4 legs".

セレブ！！シーザー･ミランのサイン会で、写真を撮ってもらいました。リサからすごい!!っていうのを聞いて、Mitziを飼い始めたときから、この人の番組を見はじめました。問題のある犬たちを、"リハビリ"し、飼い主を"訓練"して、犬と人間とのバランスの取れた関係を築く手伝いをしてくれます。この人から、Mitziを、"毛皮を着た、４本足の人間"として扱わない。ということを学びました。ほんまにすごくって、この人が来たら、犬の態度ががらっと変わる！！

Mitzi is fixed!
Oh... no...we haven't forgotten about another member of our family, Mitzi.
This is what happened to her last month...she had to go to the vet to be fixed.
もう１匹の家族の一員ミッツィー、忘れらてはいませんよ!
先月、避妊手術（？）をしたのです。
Being nervous at the vet office not knowing what is to happen...
これから何が起こるのか、病院で緊張。
She was so sad...look at the tears in her eyes!! All she did after coming home was this...curl up and sleep.
So cute!
Trying to get comfortable... Trying to play...day by day, she was coming back to herself.
I think I'm ready to go out...

A Gift from God...
On 4/22/08 at 10:07pm, Claire Kyoko Takahashi has arrived!!
She was 20 in, 7.3 lb. Pretty big for arriving 2 weeks before the due date, huh?
4/22/08、22：07 クレア･きょうこ・タカハシ誕生です！
５０．８ｃｍ、３３１１ｇ、予定日より２週間早かったのに、けっこう大きかった。。。

Finally, the first harvest!!
ついに刈り入れのときがきました!
We enjoyed tiny salad tonight with our dinner. It tasted like any other salad, but was very special to us.
夕飯のときに小さいサラダをつけることができました。味は、他のレタスと変わらなかったけど、特別なサラダでした。
